Understanding people holistically

Understanding the constitution is the basis of all preventive and curative procedures in Ayurveda. The deepest level of Ayurvedic diagnostics is the constitutional analysis.

Various tools are used for this: anamnesis, inspection, palpation, interview and self-awareness. The methods of analysis learnt can be put into practice immediately.

First the diagnosis. Then the therapy.

Ayurvedic diagnostics includes the verbal anamnesis and sensory examination of the patient using eight examination procedures.

The most important procedures include pulse palpation, tongue inspection and facial analysis, which you will practise intensively in small groups under supervision, evaluate and compare with modern laboratory and image diagnostics.

Your practical training at a glance

With this practical training you will gain confidence in the Ayurvedic anamnesis and examination of patients and develop a system of interpretation and professional case conceptualisation in 10 teaching units with 80% of pure practice.

Your ability to make a differentiated diagnosis and to develop an individual therapy concept based on this clearly distinguishes you from purely symptomatic, exclusively dosha-orientated or constitutional type-related approaches.

The prerequisite for participation is a solid foundation in Ayurvedic basics (Sutrasthana) and basic theoretical knowledge of Ayurvedic diagnostics (Nidana) and examination methods (Pariksha).   • Verbal communication - Healing with words: Creative word choice, language patterns, the art of questioning, paraphrasing, metaphors
  • Paraverbal communication - analyse and optimise the effect of your voice: sound, articulation and modulation
  • Non-verbal communication - the power of your body language: analyse & optimise your gaze, facial expressions, gestures, posture and habitus
  • Ashtavidha Prashna - Practical training of the eightfold anamnesis guide according to Ralph Steuernagel
  • Reaching people's hearts and overcoming barriers
  • Use of Sanskrit and explanation of Ayurvedic concepts

  • Prakriti or Vikriti? Constitutional disposition or current state?

  • Training in Ayurvedic pulse palpation and systematic documentation
  • Ayurvedic tongue inspection training with photo documentation
  • Training in Ayurvedic facial inspection and physiognomic analysis
  • Holistic voice, speech and breathing analysis
  • Ayurvedic skin diagnostics, examination of the musculoskeletal system
  • Ayurvedic eye examination
  • Ayurvedic urine and stool diagnostics in outpatient practice
  • Panchanidana: aetiology, prodromes, clinical picture, pathogenesis, palliative agents
  • EURASIAMED Rhombus: MiniMax case conceptualisation through diagrams
  • Therapy planning, therapy prognosis, time required and cost planning

This practical training is offered as Classroom seminar carried out on site.

Leading trainers are Ralph Steuernagel and Corina C. Steuernagel.

Numerous exercises are carried out in alternating role plays on verbal, paraverbal and non-verbal communication, on all Ayurvedic examination procedures, case conceptualisation and holistic therapy planning.

We communicate on all paths, walk and sit, laugh and remain silent, observe outside and inside, rest and reflect, experience and enjoy together.
