Recovery and healing, personal growth and professional success can only occur if the relationship between therapist and patient or teacher and student is characterised by deep trust and mutual appreciation.
I would therefore like to take you on my journey through life shortly so that you can get a feel for whether I could be the right person for you at the moment.
You can also find out more about holistic medicine and psychology in my video library at YouTube.
I would be very happy to accompany you.
My early years
Born and raised in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, my personal development, in addition to my parents' home and school, was shaped early on by studying classical violin with Prof Alois Kottmann, The company is characterised by a deep fascination for oriental cultures, competitive sport and international travel.
Questions about the meaningfulness of my existence and the importance of health led me to intensively analyse philosophies of life and health systems as well as the practice-oriented study of Buddhism.
After leaving school, I did my civilian service in psychological care for the elderly and started a three-year full-time course at a private medical school, which I completed with a state licence as a non-medical practitioner.
I supplemented the medical knowledge I had acquired by then by studying European naturopathy, a three-year training programme in Chinese medicine TCM at ABZ Mitte and further training in anti-ageing medicine at the „European Academy of Preventive and Anti-Aging Medicine“.
Study of Ayurveda medicine in India
When I began my studies of Ayurveda medicine in India in 1994, I did not realise how important this teaching would be for my personal life. Today, 31 years later, I can say from the bottom of my heart and with deep gratitude: AYURVEDA has significantly shaped my life.
I learnt to appreciate Ayurveda 31 years ago on a study trip to the country of origin and had the extraordinary good fortune to be taught by the most renowned doctors and scholars such as N.C. Sharma, P.V. Sharma, R.H. Singh, P.V. Tewari, K.C. Chunekar, J.P. Narayan, R. Paramesh, D. Sharma and S.N. Gupta in the following seven years, in addition to university courses, sometimes in a close teacher-student relationship.
During numerous study trips I was able to immerse myself deeper and deeper in the world of Ayurveda medicine and was honoured for my achievements in 2000 by the „Indian Council for Ayurveda Promotion“ as an Ayurveda Bhishak (Ayurveda doctor).
Even today, I maintain close contact with Ayurvedic scholars, medical colleagues and product manufacturers in India and Sri Lanka. I follow Ayurvedic research and pioneering developments in the countries of origin with great interest.
For 27 years now, I have been training Academy therapists in integrative European Ayurveda medicine. Teaching enriches my practice and vice versa.
Study of psychology and ACT
In addition to my training in conventional medicine and naturopathy, I studied psychology (FU Hagen) for ten semesters from 2008-2013 to ensure the continuous development of my holistic, scientifically orientated and health-psychological work with people.
In 2015, I learnt the mindfulness-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ACT know and love from America. Numerous training and further education courses with the crème de la crème of the scene (Dr Russ Harris, Dr Kevin Polk, Kelly G. Wilson, Steven C. Hayes, Robyn D. Walser, Dennis Tirch, Joe Oliver, Timothy Gordon and others) have followed and continue to follow.
