Origin in India - 26 years ago

At the beginning of 2000, after years of study, I was the only therapist from the DACH region to take part in the Advanced Training to become an Ayurveda Bhishak (Ayurveda doctor) in Rishikesh. This intensive time is still formative today.

While I was still there, my teachers - including P.V. and N.C. Sharma, R.H. Singh, P.V. Tewari and K.C. Chunekar - asked me to pass on Ayurveda medicine in the West.

This responsibility gave rise to our current training programme - with the aim of combining traditional depth and modern medical systematics.

Rishikesh, 2000 - this is where study became responsibility.

The training for AYUMED® Ayurveda Medical Consultant is aimed at people who not only want to learn about Ayurveda, but also practise it at a professional level - with diagnostic clarity, therapeutic structure and personal maturity.

It is ideal for:

At the same time, we also see this training as a qualified way of professional reorientationIf you feel that your current job no longer fulfils you and you would like to shape your professional future in the field of holistic health, this training offers you a sound, structured and challenging basis for building up a professional career in Ayurveda.

Previous experience in medical, pedagogical, social or counselling professions is helpful - but the decisive factors are your serious interest in medical contexts, your willingness to study in depth and your motivation to take on responsibility in supporting people.

Our training combines traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern medical systematics and gives you the skills to responsibly analyse and design individual health processes.

Our overriding learning objective is to develop your maturity to practise Ayurveda medicine. After 15 months of intensive training you will be AYUMED® Ayurveda Medical Consultant empowered,

  • practising Ayurveda as an integrative medicine for preventive and curative purposes,
  • diagnose your patients and clients ayurvedically through anamnesis and examination,
  • create holistic therapy plans for outpatient treatment,
  • ayurvedic nutritional counselling,
  • to professionally accompany Ayurvedic lifestyle changes,
  • ayurvedic supplements with Indian and indigenous medicinal plants,
  • ayurvedic-psychological counselling and coaching and
  • ayurvedic massages, manual therapies and cures as part of your therapy plan.

The total scope of your annual training is approx. 500 hours.

The training follows the Blended Learning Concept from AYUMED and contains

  • 2 practical modules on site (hands-on training) with post-meetings → 40 teaching hours
  • 10 online modules via livestream with post-meetings → 80 teaching hours
  • Add-on content for in-depth study between modules → approx. 5 hours per week
  • Guided self-awareness with your own body, senses and mind as well as test subjects → approx. 10 hours per month

Your most frequently asked questions

Until when can I still join the training programme?

If you are unable to attend the first on-site seminar weekend from 20 March to 22 March, it is still possible to participate in the annual training.

We will discuss how you can catch up on the knowledge from Module 1 in the personal study counselling session.

For late entrants, the 15 June 2026 as the last possible date to start the current training programme. Of course, the earlier the better!

Do I have to take the final exam?

No, your participation in our test is voluntary.
But we recommend it for five reasons:

  • It represents proof of competence.
  • It gives you more confidence and charisma.
  • It generates respect and trust among clients.
  • It could be required by the authorities.
  • It is relevant for potential employers.

You can leave your decision for or against taking the exam open until the last module.

How much does the test cost and how does it work?

The fee for the written and oral examination with preparation & certification as an Ayurveda Medical Consultant (AYUMED) is € 250.00 plus VAT and is paid by bank transfer upon registration.

The cancellation conditions are staggered according to our general terms and conditions: up to 6 weeks in advance 10%, up to 30 days 50% and thereafter 100%.

The written exam (240 minutes) takes place online via our Learning Management System (LMS). For the oral exam (45 minutes), we meet in the meeting room with three people: you as the examinee - Ralph as the examiner - Corina as the examiner.

While the written exam focuses on basic Ayurvedic concepts, in the oral exam we present you with a practical case that you can analyse and design therapeutically using the tools you have learnt. This is therefore an inspiring „dialogue between experts“.

Where can I find my course content and learning materials?

Your training cockpit is our Learning Management System (LMS) 24/7 at https://akademie.eurasiamed.de/.

The LMS is your central platform for managing all processes relating to your training. Here you will find

  • all video recordings of our livestreams,
  • Add-on videos to supplement our teaching content,
  • playful learning checks to review your learning goals,
  • Scripta as PDF in original colours and b/w for printing,
  • Recommendations for self-awareness and
  • Links to further media.

We always compile new learning content according to a module and thus ensure that you enjoy learning the topics that are really relevant to your path.

What happens if I miss individual online modules?

If you are acutely ill or a difficult life situation is challenging you, you may not be able to attend individual live dates. That is not a problem.

We record all live streams of the online modules 2-3 and 5-12 in full and you can repeat them as often as you like at any time. This means that you don't miss any content, but the present moment and the associated effect.

Attendance of at least 75% is required to register for the final examination. This corresponds to 90 of the 120 teaching hours that we conduct live.

If you are not aiming for a degree - which we would of course regret - you can decide for yourself how often you want to attend live and how much you learn in the Postview.

What happens if I don't manage the learning workload?

We recognise this immediately in our regular check-in meetings. Firstly, we look for the causes and simple solutions. If these are not sufficient, we redefine your learning goals - adapted to your capabilities.

Can I book services that are not included?

Of course. For example, your personal diagnostics and therapy for self-awareness, which you can take advantage of in the EURASIAMED private practice with Ralph.

Another example is training sessions with real clients under the supervision of Ralph on site.

You can also add further coaching sessions with Corina on the topics of charisma and appearance as well as the structure and design of your practice rooms as required.

Can I get in touch with other students?

Of course, from day one.

We recommend the formation of learning groups and a lively exchange between our 12 training modules.

In the two practical training sessions on site (modules 1 and 4), we meet physically with all our senses among like-minded people.
